Coca-Cola was the first soft drink consumed in space, when astronauts on the Space Shuttle Challenger drank from the Coca-Cola Space Can on July 12, 1985. The Coca-Cola Company also installed the Space Dispenser on the Space Shuttle Discovery, which was the first soft drink equipment used in space.
